The control room in the first studio I ever set foot in had a panel in the rack with a 1/4" jack and a knob. The knob was labeled "suck." The jack was a DI, if memory serves. The knob didn't do anything. He would mess with people by plugging their instruments into the jack and turning up the "suck."
And it was used royalty free at Guantanamo.
That is the best jazz I have ever listened to!In case anyone wanted to enjoy it in all its mediocrity, here it is!
Might be interseting to ask our sound guy to play it before the "drunk set" (between the third and fourth) at tonight's gig. The drunks who stuck it out to hear our last set might actually appreciate it.
