I know that guy. This photo was taken by the 5th mix engineer, who was brought in to finish a Steely Dan album, of the 4th mix engineer who took over for the third mix engineer who took over for the second mix engineer who took over for the first one, who gave up and fell on his own sword. Rumor has it, that after the sad passing of Becker, Fagan tried to find a new mix engineer to take over the master tapes and finish the mix. Last I heard, he's still looking. Can't find any takers.
We used to have a sign in a place that I used to work at that said, "When it works, shoot the engineer".

I started life as a design engineer in SCADA, before I took over systems engineering. SO happy I didn't work at your company.
In my working life we always said "Engineers design things and the technicians have to make it work!"

The epic battle of bass player vs. keyboard player!
I came across an article by accident the other day from that same site on "How many watts do you need in a Bass amp for small gigs". It was one of the most ridiculous pieces of twaddle I've seen in a long time.
Having just now had a quick look at some other articles on the blog on that site and it's either a joke or written by someone with very little knowledge about basses, guitars and amps. It's so bad I really can't tell if it is supposed to be serious or supposed to be a p!ss-take.
Here's the link to the article I saw.
"A drum set with a capacity of 200 watts or less should be at least 20 watts in size. With quieter musical styles and drummers, you might be able to get away with up to 200 watts in a 210, 112, or 115 watt drum. The maximum speed I can reasonably expect is 100 miles per hour, unless I’m driving through a large cab."
