Having been a golfer until I no longer had the free time to be able to play once in a while, I can say that my experience tells me that golfers are generally MORE gear obsessed than bassists and spend far more money on their craft.

I noticed a gentleman following an electrically motorized golf club bag with his phone out. I assume he was piloting the bag. I'd be willing to bet that once the bag "learned" the course then it could navigate and roam on its own, via GPS, of course.
