The songs on that card would make a lot of people in bands groan and refuse to play them (my band hates doing "the hits" that every band plays, but I think we need to include at least a few of them in each show). But playing that list of songs would have the wedding reception dance floor PACKED and make the guests comment on the amazing band that played at that wedding!

We play half of those songs on our wedding gigs, an the other half is on the playlist of songs playing during or after our sets.

Indeed, it makes us "Fantastic". The only drawback for wedding gigs, is that customers never hires us twice....

Divorce is unheard of in Quebec City? Or your playing brings such joy that the couples remain committed for life?

Divorce is common, but I think we are clever to not make the same mistake twice... :)

My step-brother was THAT guy. He'd keep cassettes of groups he loathed (he borrowed some from me) in his car because his friends LOVED them!
That’s funny. Never did that, but allowed them to pick radio stations in my auto.

Actually in fact, a lot of my former “friends” and band associates dropped me when made I made big genre changes by not being in the barroom rock scene. I still like to play classic rock, but not like that and not by the numbers.

Oh well, I went exploring musically and there’s always a price to pay when you do that.

I was the first one in my neighborhood to own the first AC/DC album and the first Cheap Trick album (1976 or '77-ish?)
