Well today was the day I traveled to pick up my (new to me) Shen SB100. I was concerned about transporting the Shen in my Toyota Camry. It fit just fine, as others had said it would. So home I went with no problems and unloaded the bass.
Feeling like celebrating, I went back out for coffee with a friend. On the way home a van pulled out in front of me and I was involved in a head on collision. I was very lucky in many ways...no one was seriously injured (bruised, cut and sore but no hand damage) and fortunately I had gotten the bass out of the car an hour earlier. I don't think it would have survived the crash. I'm guessing the Camry is totaled and I'll be looking for the ideal bass vehicle. Such is life...
