I'm playing Curry Nochi Rice with a pick just to emulate the original record, I have no problem playing it with my fingers though. The hard part of this song is not the speed but the crazy rhythms and the many changes that causes the song to be hard to learn but once you've done it it's easy to play. Speaking about Cagayake, I can play the part that corresponds the opening version, but one day I'll have patience enough to learn the rest, it gets tougher in the later parts of the song.

And add me on the buddy list if you want. :D

Damn. That motivates me to practice the hell out of Cagayake, now. I have this nasty habit of giving up halfway through learning a song and moving onto new one. It's like I get bored of it too soon. :hmm: But I can't practice right now. I'd better get my ass to sleep or be a zombie all day tomorrow. :crying:

Alright, this thread alone has allowed me to add 6 users to my buddy list (ie. all of you that professed to having seen K-ON! I'm so proud of you guys)

Well, gotta work on transcribing "Call Me Call Me." I've neglected Cagayake long enough, but that damn Bebop song's been left unfinished for over a year now.

I'll leave you guys with this.
It's only for fun, so don't take this non-canon info to heart. Like I said, there's too many inconsistencies throughout the series to trust anything Kyoani's putting out.

I'm seriously starting to think that Japan is the only place in the world that you can impress any girl by playing bass, and not getting the typical reaction "why your guitar has only 4 strings?" or "bass is for the losers who can't hack guitar" although this can be applied to anyone, not just girls. Most of the music I know from Japan, even pop music has usually complicated bass lines, one of the best examples is the band L'arc-en-Ciel, which has some seriously wicked ones.

And good luck to everyone who is trying to play cagayake. ;)

Thanks a lot for posting this. Way cool!

I've got to learn some of those songs and I'll start looking for a Japanese schoolgirl outfit that will fit a guy who is almost two meters tall. Guess the beard has to go, though...

BTW. I put one of the pics from this thread on the desktop of my computer just for fun and had to do some serious explaining to my wife afterwards...
