I've owned basses worth...maybe 5 times as much; but I really loved this one. But I went through a phase, and was with a band, where only 5 strings seemed adequate. I put this "mutt" of a parts bass up to finance a G&L L2500 (great bass, but gone, without tears). If I could buy this back, "as was", I would, but subsequent owners have "PJed" it, with other aesthetic mods...Sorry baby. One more stupid thing in my life.

I miss my '90-'91 Stingray in blue burst w/ maple fb almost exactly like this one. My one and only selling regret...

Mine would be my very 1st build from over 40 years ago.

My first "good" Bass was this exact model. This ones on Reverb. Maybe its the one I stupidly let go of, and now can't afford. View attachment 5418229
What happened to it? Wow, that hair is amazing!!!View attachment 5418538I have every Stingray I’ve ever bought expect my first one. My 89.
I do but I don’t if that makes sense. I’ve owned both a thumb nt5 and nt6. in perfect working order they were fantastic basses and I miss what they were like then. But when I sold them they had structural issues and I don’t miss that. The nt5 was my workhorse for many years. The nt6 was pretty used when I got it.
