You beat me to it...! This has to be one of the absolutely most beautiful basses I've ever seen. I talked to Jens about it, and he looked into getting another piece of wood for me to make another one in the future at NAMM, but I couldn't afford it right now - crazy expensive wood...!

Does anyone else think this is rediculous?

Can someone here please help me think of one legitimate reason why someone would buy a bass with two necks, one tuned EADG, the other tuned BEAD, when one could more easily procure a bass with one neck and five strings tuned BEADG?

1. Only have to play four strings.

2. Don't have to switch basses.

3 (Most Important) It's Cool!

Do they sond as good as they look? Cuz the one above (lower bout and back of neck dipped in "Antique 24k gold" paint) is just about the sexiest bass I've ever seen. Rudy's won't even state the price on the web site. I'm guessing... $6-7k?

I don't know what he plays, but whatever it is, it sounds phenomenal and has such a deep mellow fluid sound to it that it makes me want it.

Jimmy Johnson playing it doesn't hurt either.
