Basses you have a bad hankering for...

Don't have a pbass nor a short scale in my arsenal, and have been jonesing for the Reverend Sentinel.

Was also looking at the JMJ Mustang (read it's fantastic) and the PJ Mustang (read hardware is spotty), though my ear is kind of tired of the Fender bass tone and articulation. Always happy to be convinced otherwise, just haven't had a chance to play them.

I was lusting after one of these bad until i played it. waaaay too tiny for me

Makes sense, they're not going to be everybody's cup of tea. I'm a short-scale player, so it's the perfect size for me. I do however struggle with Fender Mustangs, Hofner viola styles, and other short scales that are really tiny in the upper bout of the body... my lanky physique doesn't gel with those and I get pain in my wrist and back from slouching. The Serek's upper bout stays pretty much as wide as the lower bout, so I don't have that issue there.

still want one. just cant justify it with the MB Gold Bass Gold out there calling my name. they are too sexy

I could make a 5 page list of Wals and Foderas and Spectors and EMBMMs and MTDs I wouldn't mind having lol...

But being kinda "realistic", the only 2 models I feel I MUST add to my collection at SOME point are a G&L L2K and a Ric 4003s. I'm confident my GAS would MOSTLY evaporate if I could add those 2 to my current 3 (P, J, and a WW Streamer). They both have very particular, albeit versatile sounds that I love.

Olinto (for La Bella, the string company) by Mas Hino.
It was for sale here in the classifieds for $4k. For a moment I honestly thought about getting it, if only to hang on the wall as art, as I am unworthy of playing it, but then sanity kicked in. What a gorgeous bass.
Yeah. I also seriously consider it, but it would be too expensive including shipping to Austria and taxes :/
