The lowest numbered Vintage Series P bass currently known.Neck date 7-21-82.
Odd features.Frets are CBS style rather than vintage.Finish as far as I can tell is probably not nitro.Small number "2" stamped on the back of the headstock.Fender custom shop employee viewed this bass and description online in the FDP and responded that it was a Fender second and more than likely shipped and sold overseas.All other features are Vintage series including raised A p/up,cloth wiring etc etc.

Thanks.The white 68 is my regular player.Came with a set of blackbottom pickups.Incredibly comfortable live playing neck and the best P bass tone I have played.I bought the Orville Tbird to replace a Tbird I sold years ago.I played Tbirds live for a long time and decided to buy one again.I've only had it a short time but it's taken over regular playing duties.Fits well with current band.The 58 is a great bass for recording as is the 72 jazz.Best traditional P bass neck in the bunch is the real 59 which I don't have a picture posted.I have about 10 more basses not in the pictures including a Hamer 12 string and late 90's vintage series 62 Jazz stackpot.Another unfinished 68 telecaster bass and another 72 P waiting for restoration.

I'll never sell my two "box" basses, because I made them (and no one else would want them, most likely!) They're crazy looking, but they sound awesome, and they're my babies.
