Looking at the names popping up it seems like these are more of the pocket players who hold it all together but don't do any flashy 'hey look at me playing' and don't sing lead vocals.

- Tony Sales (absolutely monstrously good on Iggy Pop's Lust for Life... like the whole record is perfect.)
- Andy Rourke (Morrissey and Marr get the lion's share of praise, but Rourke's bass is always melodic, tasteful and just wonderful.)

- Dave Riley (A huge influence of mine. I love Big Black and he was an absolute beast... bass lines that run through you like a charging bull. Love it.)
- Tracey Pew (Huge Birthday Party Fan, here. He played with so much attitude and a lot of Birthday Party songs are much funkier for his being involved.)
- Reid Diamond (My absolute favourite Canadian Band of all time is Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, and he has my favourite bass tone of all time. Pure thunder.)

Is that Alex Blake? I didn't realize he'd played with Lenny White. I knew his EB work from Billy Cobham's band, and then later with the Manhattan Transfer.
Yep, that's Alex Blake
He's on a few tracks on Big City and the entire Adventures of Astral Pirates album
Doug Rauch is on Venusian Summer and Marcus Miller is on several tracks on Streamline
AOAP Pirates was the closest thing to Lenny having his own actual band.
I kind of lost track of Lenny after that except for Present Tense. Wolfbane is one of my favorite tracks
Who is that again? Looks like he has a Telecaster pickup on that Jazz bass (similar to Oakley and Schacher did to theirs).

Looked it up, that's a Gibson Pickup in that Jazz, along with a Precision in the middle, and a Jazz at the bridge. I'm putting Thunderbird pickups in a Jazz, so that really caught my attention. I also have a JPJ.
