Read this whole thread so far and I would say the top 3 (for me) are Paul McCartney, Dug Pinnick, and Sting. Pinnick's voice just kicks IMHO.

In my opinion the bassist with the best singing voice is Raphael Saadiq of Tony! Toni! Tone'! by far
David Paton should be mentioned here. Aside from being a monster on the fretless, he sang with the group 'Pilot' and I think he also sang quite a bit on several Alan Parsons Project albums.

Also, one of the Deep Purple bassists... Glenn Hughes? He sang backups on a live version of Burn that simply blows me away every time I hear it!

Thanks, been wrestling with it all damn day. My dad couldnt even remember and he was the one who exposed them to me.
But yeah I really dig his voice, they opened for Dream Theater a while back, I walked out of there with his pick and his A string. Good show.

Mike Mills of REM, and Howie (RIP) of Tom Petty. Met Howie more than a few times, super cool A+ dude.
Just came home from a Colosseum show and I must say, Mark Clarke sure knows how to play the hell out of his bass, and he did a great job on both lead and background vocals.
