I guess some of the girlie pics may have been rated PG-13, but there was no nudity that ever remained posted except for yours truly, and that was because it was considered artful and tastefully done.

If Ed is having health issues, I sincerely hope he finds relief for whatever ails him. He's a great guy.

Thank you to the mods here for allowing this discussion to happen.

Yeah I didn't know if it was okay to post, but I thought people would want to know. It's not like it could hurt talkbass any.

People would pay good money for that kind of thing. Not even in a sleazy way, either.

You give yourself too much credit, but I'll freely admit that I think you had a part in the creation of that forum and I'll always thank you for that. Respect! You handled it well.

Actually, it had nothing to do with sleazy content. IMO, it had more to do with having adult conversations in a not always "adult" manner without getting whacked over nothing. I try to steer clear of forum politicking and policing, whatever. The guys over there were fantastic (IMO). A looser attitude was wanted and it provided an alternative. There were several posters there who were also active members here. Variety.

Actually, I was just joking. I doubt I had one thing to do with any demise; as far as I know, they had long since moved on. I was just a little taken aback by photoshops of certain posters holding my severed head. Like THAT would ever happen! I've got people here in real life that want to take my head, and they ain't getting it!

Anybody who has friends they want to contact from BT to keep in touch, just pm me your email their username and I may be able to help. I still have access to pm on BT.

Edit: It's only up until midnight tomorrow and I'm not sure what time zone that is.

I decided to let people grab pictures and us the PM system until noon, ET, Wdnesday the 4th. That wasn't MY content, I wasn't the only one there. Many were - I was just, the host.

Ok - geesh, don't make me start bawling - this hasn't been easy. But it is the right thing to do. I'll sleep better knowing I tried. snap!! :(
I hate to see BT go and I'm sorry about the huge headache you have had to deal with. I wasn't very active, so I was out of the loop. I wish you the best. Thank you for allowing access to private messages.

I really hope Ed is okay. I read some last evening and there was definitely a meltdown happening.

When I left BT247, I was depressed for two weeks. Those guys were (are) like my family and Ed and I had built up a slight commeraderie and when it broke down, I spiraled. I later decided I was unknowingly withdrawing from nicotine, and what I thought was "them" was probably "me" all along.

That place was a big part of his existence, so I figure his post-partum depression will be exponentially greater than mine was.

Ed- if you're reading this- or chillkillah- (which looks too close to childkillah IMO:smug:)- I wish you only the best. I'm proud to have called you my friend, and I love you. Take the best of care.

People can sometimes get too "close" to online strangers, and though they read their posts, may not really "know" the person. That being said, I have some online friends I've known for well over 10 years who have had huge impacts on my life, and I've even been fortunate enough to meet some of them. I actually wish and hope all you guys will be OK, and wish you every happiness.

I feel honored to have been mentioned.

Lulz. You should feel honored. You're the main reason the site was created in the first place.

BT was a great forum, and the original group had no problem with looser rules & most of us still share genuine friendship. But as usual, humans come along who take themselves way too seriously & when you have enough hypocrites hanging out in the same place, drama ensues.

TB is way worse, but due to the rules, instead of being blunt and/or honest we get post after post of passive aggressiveness & veiled insults. But it's all the same crap.
