Battery powering a Phil Jones Double Four

How are you planning to connect the battery to the inverter? From what I know, that battery will not work. That's made to plug diorectly inot a DC port.
The Krisdonia will put out 12 volts, it's just kind of an expensive option at this point. Not sure what the inverter needs as far as current draw but he can certainly try it. Of course now h will need another cable. :(

That laptop battery to an inverter would require a cable that fits the DC OUT on one end plugged into the battery, with positive and negative paddles on the other end to attach to the inverter that's heavy enough to handle the power of the Double Four. Not sure how easy that would be to find.
 
@Brian Cook not sure how comfortable you are with electronics... but I 99% guarantee you the amp will still be powered by 20VDC inside. Instead of an external 20VDC power supply brick, your amp likely just has a PCB one internally. If you are willing to open it up and see, you might be able to bypass the PS and solder a jack after the power supply to use a 20V battery pack.

But if you can exchange it for a "normal" version with the external PS that would be ideal obviously...

If you go to using an inverter, that basically makes this amp pointless to me (unless you can't have anything physically bigger as it does sound good for its size), as you could be using any bass amp depending how big you are willing to go power-wise.

My PJD4 arrived today! The battery pack came last week. So here is my setup on the bench seat of my ‘82 VW Westfalia camper. I punched a holed in the pocket of the battery case and just hang it from a carabiner for now.

In other news... in an attempt at being as compact as possible I'm wondering if I can get away with only bringing one 120V brick to either power the PJB D4 or charge the Krisdonia 20V battery. The specs aren't the same on the outputs. Both have 100-240V input, the PJB switching adapter has 20V & 2.75A output while the Kirsdonia is 19.0V & 2.0A. Both have the same - + configuration.

I _think_ that would mean the PJB would charge the battery faster and I could leave the Krisdonia adapter at home. Thoughts?

I'd bet your equipment it would work just fine.

OK, battery dummy here. I see that I can get the POWERADD Pilot Pro2 with either 23,000 mAh, or 32,000 mAh. For my D4, is there any advantage in getting the 32k over the 23k?
You don’t need the extra but I think the 32 doesn’t stay on or feed current. The 23 works and provides 20v all day. I’ve had that problem with smaller batteries some of them will not provide the current needed and have a smart shutdown circuit

It's not available in Canada so I have no first hand experience. What I've read is that some of the higher Ah models have safety circuits to cut power if the draw is too much. The smaller one has been reported to work nicely, as is the case with the smaller 20000 mAh Kindonia available here.

From what I'm reading of your and @pkraiker's post, sounds like the 23k model will not give up anything in this application to the more expensive model.

When the Lenmar battery stopped being made, I bought one of the first PowerAdd, which had a cutoff circuit and would cutoff with every low E note I played.
 
Do you recall how many mAh that one was?

I can't find the receipt but I'm pretty sure it was 23000 mAh

...The battery pack has already shown it can power the D4 so if the battery can charge from the D4 brick it's a win by becoming dual purpose. Stay tuned!

My Lenmar does.
