BC Rich Mockingbird

I have an NJ neck-through. And yes, it's neck heavy enough to go straight for the floor as soon as I let go of the neck. Even with a wide leather strap.

But keep in mind, it's probably not only the neck-heaviness. The top/front strap knob is a lot closer to the high end of the neck than I'd like for it to be.

Had a 1983 Mockingbird. Mahogany. It was neck heavy. Used a wide 4" strap and the neck went south still. Did not want to sit on my leg very comfortably either. Wish I still had it, but did get rid of it because I was having to hold the neck up and fret at the same time.

I have an 84 USA made with the optional electrics that Neal Moser made while there. It is in the avatar. Screw the balance - just get one like it. They show up from time to time.

I can send you the EQ settings later. This is why I placed a purchase for a 5 string from him. I needed to go to "The Creator".........

I am dead serious. A person that owns Alembics, Pedula, Spector, EBMM Bongo, etc.........

Oh - the balance is not too bad. Strap lenght is key.

Too me it took a little while to get used to sitting down with one. I don't know if anyone else had this issue but Im use to my Warwick's and my Fenders but it took me awhile sitting down with a Mockingbird for some reason.
