I'm surprised it sounded as good as it did. After all, I was recently excoriated by another member here that multi-laminate instruments all sound awful and they must be made of as few pieces as possible, like his eminence Leo did.

I've never seen those Schallers before.

Holy crap, that's the dumbest thing i've heard in awhile. That person obviously has no clue. Thanks for sharing that interesting tidbit.

These pickups are quite rare these days. They haven't been made in a very long time.

Time for a Howards bath. This is the last finishing step i take before assembly. I coat the entire instrument with a heavy Howard Feed N Wax and leave it soak for at a minimum of 24 hours before hand buffing off.

No, this is the last step after several coats of Watco Danish Oil. It really is good stuff.
