question: is two vertically stacked 2x10" the same as one 4x10"? better? different? why don't we see more rigs like this?

Do a search on "vertical stacking", there's quite a bit of discussion about this. I am a believer. Maybe we aren't seeing this much yet because not enough cab makers or players are hip to it yet? I don't know, I'm just glad I have two 2-10s. :D

You will. Aside from vertical stacking advantages such as longer throw and decreasing beaming, another advantage is most 410's are 8 ohms and 210's are almost always 8 ohms, so you can get 4 ohm output with the same amount of speakers as a 410...in a solid state head, that nearly doubles your available wattage.
