well, it looks much more doom like from this angle, anyway.
it is beautiful.
1x18" bag end loaded big ben
model 1986 marshall jcm800 bass head
the head is a mere 50 watts (2x6550's),
but it buries a bassman100 as far as loud, clean volume.
i can actually keep up with a hard hitting drummer, no problem.
this head sounds especially sweet with a piccolo bass or wound up as a second "dirty" amp for effects etc.
it also pairs nicely with my patterson 3x10....

How do those two 4x10s sound together, compared to a 8x10, with the SVT head?

Some might think (maybe me, included :D ) that it shouldn't matter, but I'm naturally skeptical.

I have never owned and 810 but I think my 410's sound f***** good =D and if I memory is good Jimmy once said that there is no difference between 2 410 and a 810 and tweeters on the 410 can be used if needed

Not quite NO difference at all, but if someone sets up two 410's and an 810 behind me THAT ARE BUILT WITH SIMILAR CONSTRUCTION METHODS, I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference, most definitely. Obviously I could tell between two ported cabs and a sealed cab, but the difference between two 410HE's and a 810E is minimal, IMHO.

Aw, you can't just post a pic and not tell us what we're looking at! That thing looks sweet. What is it?

it's my livingroom-blues-jam-only rig!
1x18 EV speaker with an old Sears/Silvertone head that used to be part of a combo.
i love nothing more than to take my darkstarred guild with this rig and do a nice blues jam with one or two of my acoustic-slinging buddies.
and yes, that is ratfur on the outside of the cab;)

I honestly don't think I would want to play without one. For my tone I like to add a little bit of drive, and use it to EQ my sound a little bit more. If you've never tried one out, I highly suggest checking it out. It adds a whole lot more than the amp alone. If you want to hear my tone check it out here
(Link Removed) on the songs "Behind the Scenes" and "Unforgettable". The bass on those was my MMSR4 through an SVT 3-pro. The three newer songs were recorded with a 75 Jazz Bass Re-issue, a vintage SVT classic, and a sansamp on two separate tracks.

it sounds great and the band is tight, do you run the sansamp as a straight pre amp or do you run it through an effect loop?

Are those the old Musicman cabs?
For a short time, Ernie Ball had a bass system on the market. These are a couple of models that were available. I picked them up when they were discontinued. To my surprise, I really liked them. They are loaded with B and C speakers. Now I have three 2x10s and one 4x10. Used to have a 2x12, but it was waaaay heavy.
