beest pickups for slap and pop style

which one have the best sound for slap and pop mm humbucker, single coil, soapbar, dual coil.....:hmm:
It depends entirely upon the design and the bass they're in (+onboard electronics) plus what your idea of "best" is: try getting consensus on that around here.

You might also want to know, that soapbars are just shapes (and there are quite a few different ones) and iinside there may be any number of variations on coil, magnet and winding configurations. For example, I have some EMG35 shaped soaps that have a P pickup potted into them.

Really what you are going to want for slap is a clear sounding pickup that is very hi-fi. IMO, I like the sound of Neodymium mags for slap because they have great frequency response and have a very clear tone. Unfortunately there aren't many pickup makers that use Neo mags. The companies that I know of that currently make Neo pickups are Q-Tuner (great pickups btw), Delano, Dingwall, Lakland, and EBMM.

If you can't use any of the pickups listed, then I would go for any pickup that produces a clean sound. I hear Nordstrand Dual Coils are really nice. Maybe you can start there.
