Before ... After. Warning: Jazz content.

Alright, I gotta ask...what is the pickguard vendor of choice these days? I'm not really into spending $40 for my slice of tortloaf, but I've got an unlined fretless arctic white jazz and it's begging for a red or brown tort. If anyone would like to recommend a source I would appreciate it.

Note: First user to propose non-sequitor purchase of either a Fender Rumble or Mesa D-800 will get taken out back and beaten with a hose.
This was through my regular music shop, $80 Australian. It's a Fender stock item. I'd be keen to hear of alternative suppliers too.

Good tort is actually pretty expensive now. The cheapest prices I've seen have been direct from china from places like aliexpress.

I'm not overly ocd but that gap would bother me big time. I do like the look of the tort better. Don't like tort on many basses at all but it works well on that bass. The mint green is just wrong.
Yes, it's bugging me but it's not my main player. I'll see if I can move the control plate around or do the sharpie thing.

I do like the mint but the tort just pops. I've got mint on my 3CSB P bass and I wouldn't change that.

Tort is great. My #1 warmoth J is white and tort. Bummer about the gap. had a similar problem when I built it. The audere control plate and warmoth guard were cut at slightly different angles. A tech I took it to did something or other (probably sanded the guard a smidge) and now they line up great.

If you have to have a pickguard (most Jazzs) there is only one acceptable. Tort! Period....Sorry..........
