Beiber, Spalding, Hair Touching

No way, I like Dr. Cheese and his threads. This is just one of those instances where I had to provide some evidence to the contrary.

I'm not talking about disagreeing, I'm talking about being disagreeable.

Please do not include me as part of that club.
I can handle race related discussion so long as the people engaged can remain civil. I think Dr. Cheese shows a lot of patience in these threads with some of the mud that gets slung his way.

+1

Just like atheists won't stay away from religious threads, just like right wing followers won't stay away from left wing threads and viceversa. See where I'm going?

I feel what you're saying; I just disagree that the race threads are as bad as the others. There are those of us (most of us IMO) that get something out of these threads. And it usually takes some time for the race threads to go soutn

Are you not a man in control of your own actions?
Its not that hard to practice a little restraint.

I am in control, but sometimes you feel the need to participate in a lively discussion. But I choose how I address the points of the discussion and decide not to be hurtful or agressive to someone else's point of view.

Religious, Politic or racists types are, to me, always fanatics; and fanatics are always IME the ones who cause the problems

As youve shown, you exhibit both control an restraint in this regard (Im not looking at your posting history, just the last page or two of this thread). More people should, then maybe we would also have the privelage of discussing religion and politics, both very interesting subjects. But, since its beeen shown that a lot of people cannot, we no longer have that privelage. Im not one in favor of having more taken away because a few people can't be more tactful.

Thank you sir.But even we at our finest moments can slip.

This is so true. I have noticed that there have been a few times when mods would let a "forbidden-type" thread go for a while. And I would start to hope that if it remained civil, they would back off a bit and we would be able to talk about some of this stuff....but alas...there's ALWAYS always a person who will wade into the fray and destroy it. It's inevitable I guess.

This has been my experience as well.

I had a epic fro in the late 70's early 80's. I liked it when chicks touched it and liked it not so much if a dude tried.

HAH!

I have an old photo of my father from that era when he was gigging, and he had a MASSIVE perm-fro, combined with a stupendous twirly handlebar moustache. What was the deal with white guys and 'fros in the 70's? Moreover, when do we bring the style back? :hyper:
