Believe it or not, I finally bought a Bacchus!

Sweeeeet. Gorgeous, Japanese, named after the god of wine (plus, according to Wikipedia, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and festivity, among others)... what's not to like, if not love, if not go raving nuts over? Bacchus has long been on my "sure would be nice" list.

I've only been talking about it for five years or so, just didn't like the idea of having one shipped from Japan and spending another $150 or so, not to mention dealing with customs.
I've seen a few nice ones from time to time here in the states, but never one this nice!
Bacchus WL4-FM Custom III Ash Flame Maple Jazz MIJ.

Now for the waiting game.
UPS, supposedly they've stepped up their game as of late. Hey, if I get it by next Friday I'll consider it fast enough.

Very nice. I’ve been watching these when I went on the Canadian distributor website of Tune basses looking for a HSC.

That was about 3 years ago and they’re still on my mind. Hope it meets your expectations when it arrives. :bassist:

beautiful basses..why bother with those clear pickguards tho
They don't always use pickguards, but not only do they use clear ones, they also use see-through colored pickguards.
Some people just like them, even the clear ones. I always thought basses like the Jaco Jazz bass looked strange with the control plate floating in space.

Did you have it shipped from Japan?

I think it will.
Now, with one bass for every day of the week, I hope this madness has ended!
I got one too. Heavy ole girl but the tone and feel is incredible. View attachment 4036389
That's what I've heard. Supposedly the necks are very nice and the turbo switch seems like a no-brainer.
