The Shuttle 9.0 seems to be a favorite with the AE212. Has anyone used a Shuttle Max 6.0 or 12.0 with this cab? Seems like it should fall somewhere between the MB F500 and Shuttle 9.0.

While everyone has a opinion on what amps may work best with the AE212 it is my opinion that we all have a different ears and the sound we have in ours heads are different for everyone.Where one person may like one amp the other may not care for the sound of it!And another item to throw in there is the Bass we are using which is another variable!So this is not a set in stone selection as far as what amps work best with the AE212! Just thought i stir the pot some!

Nice stuff guys! i look forward to reading the reviews and impressions of all these matchups. It is hard to make this cab sound bad, although I agree strongly that a head with lots of low end and not a lot of control of that low end (DB750, M6) might not be a good match in many live contexts. IMO there.
Also agree that there is something quite magic about the AE410 and an aggressively voiced J bass like a Sadowsky with singles... it GRINDS and PUNCHES
The AE212 REALLY sounds different than the AE410 with an instrument like that (much smoother, fatter, rounder, sweeter)... both good in their own way.

Makes me want to own both for a variety of flavor.
+1 You can EQ them (depending on the amp) to sound 'reasonably close', but each has its own strong voice to my ear. Pretty cool stuff!
More time with the AE212 and Shuttle 9.0 today, and I have to say this. I think you guys calling the cab "deep" might be right depending on the head you are using. With the LF Boost enabled on the Shuttle 9.0, the AE212 isn't shy at all about belching out that deep bottom. It does limit maximum volume just a touch, but really at that point the rig is so loud that it's hardly an issue. The B string on my 55-02 just purrs through this rig when it's engaged. I can totally see using the LF Boost outdoors at this point when you really need to hold the bottom down. This cab continues to impress. I can't wait for spring to arrive so that I can let it breath a little.

I received my AE212 yesterday from Club Bass. Got to try it for an hour today using a musicman SR4 Classic and my Shuttle 9.0.
Like everyone said, the 9.0 and AE212 is definately a good pairing. I was able to light the limit LED on the shuttle by playing really hard and stupid loud. There's still more than enough power available for most any gig.
The musicman combined the cab and head made for a very agressive sound and I had to cut the highs on the SR4. The sound was super clear and in your face. The cab took all the lows I trow at it and I did heard a significant change in the low-end response after an hour of playing. The tweeter is simply the best I've ever heard on any cab. On most of the cabs I owned I'd always close the tweeter but I feel it won't be the case with the AE212. It's so natural that it's actually usable...wow!
The form factor was a big point in me choosing this cabinet. I like that it doesn't take a lot of space onstage and it being tall will help me hear myself on shows where I have to play close to the cabinet. The weight is great and it feels much lighter than my Aguilar GS212 (70lbs) that I sold to get the Berg. I don't feel like I'll be missing anything from the Aguilar. It's all there, and more! The handles are extremely comfortable and everything about the cabinet screams quality. That said I'm happy that I got the cover to protect the cabinet finish.
More to come as I get to play a 5-string or synth bass thru it.

You guys are killing me with these reviews. I think a Shuttle 9 Max or Streamliner 900 with the AE212 is DEFINITELY on the cards early next year.
Well, I surely have become a shameless Bergantino AE fan boy... so, guilty as charged. For many tone goals, these cabs, and the AE212 in particular, really knock the ball out of the park regarding quality, tone, volume, aesthetics, and the all important (for me) 'wump per pound' ratio.
Seems like most other AE212 users feel pretty similarly!
Between my Audiokinesis Thunderchild 112 for smaller gigs, and my AE212 or 410 for larger gigs, most every other cab I own is gone or for sale. Nice stuff, and my cab GAS, which was pretty much over with the AE410 a few years ago, is now REALLY over!
I'm still stuck on KJungs old love for the NYC Epifanis, which were the rage back in the day. I'd love a Berg 212 though. How would the old 310 NYC cabs compare with the Berg 212 because I feel I have tons of low end. Maybe the 310 NYC are more like the AE212 than the AE410?

I gigged one or the other version of the Epi T 210 or 310 (the original non neo Epi cabs that eventually became the NYC's) back in the day for many years.
If you dig that big wide, deep tone, I think you would like the AE212 even more... all the low end, half the weight, and IMO a MUCH more even mid response for a bit more definition and articulation.
And yes... always new things coming out. I surely didn't have any GAS for another large cab giving my love for the AE410... and then the AE212 was introduced!
If I can get the same or even better performance in a smaller lighter cab... I'm there!I'm sure the Shuttle 6.0 would sound great through the AE212. The bottom would be a little tighter, which of course you could fix by boosting lows or engaging the LF Extension on the 6.0. The total volume and headroom with the 6.0 would be a good bit less than with the 9.0, but it would still be a fantastic pairing. With the 6.0 into a NeoX 212, I NEVER head a volume issue on any gigs I did, so if that's your situation as well and your happy with the 6.0, no reason to let it go if you want the AE212. If I ever get a shot at the AE212 i'll sell one of my 310s & pick one up. I rarely NEED to go to a gig with both 310s & in a pinch on a big gig I'm sure the Epifani 310 NYC & the AE212 would do fine. I'll wait for a CL firesale of an AE212 (Not likely soon) because I'm happy with what I have now. (I've also always thought the 310 was manageable with dimensions & weight BTW)
As for the 310 I love my mids but that could be my Sterlings & Eden amp that rock there. I'm a little light low end but again that could just be my Sterling. I JUST picked up a MIA P Bass and once the baby isn't sleeping I'm going to see what lows I have with a different bass.

I've had a little more time with the Shuttle 9.0 and the AE212 and I think speakers are now broken in and I'm really liking the Shuttle 9.0 with it at this point. Agree with others that very little if any eq is needed.
I went a little crazy this week and bought an MTD Kingston Heir and when I plugged it in to the AE212/Shuttle this morning for the first time I could have easily spent a couple hours playing. My kids demanded my attention and I'm sure some of you know where it goes from there...
For a total amplification contrast I also picked up a Demeter HB-600 (thanks Rodney) so I will have that to compare with as within a couple weeks. The Shuttle 9.0 is really sounding great with the AE212 for me at this point. I've had a couple of HBP-1's and the separates thing always made them go away. So it will be interesting to see what that sounds like. I'm quite sure the amplifier section in the HB-600 will be top notch.
