Bergantino B/Amp at NAMM

How about a B|Amp pre in a pedal format for amp-less gigs?

One of my bands is moving towards going amp-less and so I am planning a pedal board.

I realized I was about to recreate the functionality of the B|Amp in a pedal board.

I know I could use the B|Amp as a DI and ignore the power amp but that doesn't seem like a practical approach.

Can anyone recommend an already available preamp pedal that has the features (and sound quality) of the B|Amp? Maybe with IR profiles instead of cab profiles? (I have searched for preamp threads and read many of them - not found anything with as good a feature set as the B|Amp).

Ok, I think I will set up one for finger playing, one for thumbing, and one for slap.
That's similar to how I did it ( and is also how I have one of my Eventide H9's set up currently).

The B|Amp, IMO, is an extremely powerful tool. Adding the pedal makes the tool much easier to use in a live situation.

Ok, so I won't have to buy a new pedal, just dongle?
Correct, but they're not that cheap as there is a developmental software and programming cost associated with them. So please be careful not to lose it. In fact we did a firmware update along the way so that you can leave it in the B|AMP's USB port without it continually searching for the pedal (times out after 1 minute with no pairing). I wouldn't want to see you have to purchase a new one.

Ok, thank you.

Is there a newer version of the B amp in the works?

Forte - Forte HP
B amp - ?

Dude, my wallet is already hurting from some pedals and recording gear I just picked up in Nashville last week. If Jim is developing a B Amp HP...well, I won't be surprise if Visa sends me an email saying "Sell your Aguilar rig first, Kevan".
