Bergantino B/Amp at NAMM

I just received the 4 button footswitch. Works great with the BAmp. Much better than the 2 button switch (which is now my onsong page turner!).
Mute/unmute takes ~a second to switch.
I had a problem with the 2 button switch unpairing (Bluetooth) itself (usually just before a show!). I am hoping the 4 button is more stable but can't test it at a show as they have all been canceled!

I was thinking about doing the same thing with my 2 button footswitch. Started reading the instructions to get it to un pair with the B Amp dongle, and what mode it needed to be in to pair it to a Samsung Android tablet etc, and also looked on YouTube. I wasn't convinced I knew what I was doing to make it happen. Have you got any pointers for this process?

It was fairly straightforward with my iPad. I reset the 2 button footswitch (hold down the on off button so it cycles then red & blue light come on and then die away).
I made sure the BAmp and all other Bluetooth sources were off before pairing it with the iPad so there was no competition. It paired straight up no problem but! Read on....

Setting it to run with onsong was the hardest part. It didn't work with the 'regular settings'. There's a video on the onsong website that talks about the direct to app setting. This mode didn't work at first. I had to reset the iPad network settings and then re-pair the iPad and footswitch.

(The video mentions that you may have to reset the iPad network settings).

after that it all worked great.

I don't know how your android device may differ.

Try it and see how you like it! If you prefer another profile or no profile at all, that's fine. There are many factors to the final sound, including the acoustics of the room, so what might be ideal in, well, ideal acoustics, might not be the best choice in a specific room. But your cab's profile has the best chance of sounding best, so I would say start from there but keep what sounds best to you.

Bumping the thread - this has been a nice resource for me, a new B|Amp owner. (Even if it does take a lot longer to read through than the manual.)
I hesitated on this for a long time. Decades of lame experiences with tone-soaking digital gizmos (and their accompanying hype) had left me profoundly skeptical. But deep down, I kind of knew this would be different. And it is; the clear priority here is tone - and utility.
It's been a revelation, having a near-perfect flat response as a starting point. I'd always been an EQ hater and a compression hater. The way they're implemented here, suddenly I think I like them! (Ditto distortion.)
I now wish I'd taken the plunge, years sooner. Might have saved me another amp purchase or three. But as they say: better late than never. Now I probably won't be pursuing that 200 watt tube head for louder gigs, or that fancy tube DI. (We'll see - just over 2 weeks and a few gigs & rehearsals in, I feel like I've only scratched the surface of that this amp can do.)

During my long hesitation period, I would tell myself I'm not quite ready for an amp that gets firmware updates.
When I finally pulled the trigger I figured I'd just use whatever was on there and not bother trying to stay current.
LOL - now that I have it and another update is imminent, I find myself drooling with anticipation. :woot:
