Brian - you just need the MONO M80 case. That'll take the Real Book and the cables for ya :) Bass or basses on your back, amp over your shoulder, two hands for your cab or cabs. Boom! You're in/you're out.

Just wanted to tell everyone what they already know . . . Greg and Rocket Music are great to deal with. I knew a new Bergantino order arrived today and I have been wanting the 610 for a while. I showed up with my wife and specifically drove my car so the 610 would not fit. I just wanted to hear it in person.

Well, after hearing Greg playing through his new rig (the SF-2 is freakin serious, along with his skills), I had to have the 610. Greg was kind enough to wait on me to go home, switch the car out for a Jeep, keep the shop open after closing time, and then help me load it up.

Great place to buy. Only problem is that I recently moved and the shop just got a whole lot closer to my house.

Ahah!! Another Rocket Music forum lurker has been outed!! I've seen your user name down in the list of folks checking out my forum, and now I know who you are!!! :ninja: :D

We've got very similar tone tastes, and it shows in your rig. You've got some righteous stuff going on! I think between the two of our rigs, we could do a gig at RFK Stadium any time now. Just waiting for the call... still waiting... and waiting... :rollno:

Please do chime in going forward! It's a fun group of guys around here, and the more the merrier!

Do they make that in a Double? I'm sitting with a nice [DEL]Reunion Blues[/DEL] currently that really my only complaint is it's not/doesn't come in a double.

Well I'm certainly not Jerry but IMO the Berg HT-112 just sounds awesome with everything that I've powered it with. That list would include:

Thunderfunk 420 & 550
Eden 400 & 550
GB 9.0
TC RH450
Mesa Wlakabout
GK 1001RB II

I suppose none of those heads are losers but the fact that all of those heads sounded great through that cabinet is IMO a big deal. I certainly can't say that about many cabinets(actually none others even come to mind).

Disclaimer - mine is the older HT-112, not the newer ER version ......

Busted!

After playing through the Berg for a few hours, I am even more impressed. That cab really packs a punch. Just ask my new neighbors.

I was worried that it would not handle the low B very well. Wrong! That cab is the perfect match with the JOBO5 and SVP-CL. Nice vintage old school, yet updated, sound.

Thanks again. I am a fan of supporting any local shop, it is a whole lot easier when the local shop has that type of selection.

I may chime in from time to time, but this place is plenty entertaining just to check in on new gear arrivals, sound clips, a few laughs and move on back to work.

Glad you're loving that cab, Brian! To my ears, the HT112ER has sounded incredible through everything I've thrown at it, although I've only gigged it with the GB Shuttle 9.0. In the store, I've heard it through an Aggie DB751 and the GB MAX 12.0, and at home I've run my Epi 902C...which was pretty darn amazing. My only concern, and I know this has been discussed ad nauseum, is whether the MAX 12.0 will keep up once you start pushing the volume. I believe it's got 375 watts per side, while the cab is rated @ 350, but in my limited experience with the amp and two Aggie 112 cabs, I found myself turning up the volume (pre and master) much higher than expected. No doubting the great sounds from that amp, but my best guess is that it's happiest driving 4-ohm loads. Anyway...

Mono dual bag. Win all around. I'm not sure any real book will fit in that front pocket, though, at least if - like me - you've got other stuff in there. I keep two instrument cables and a microfiber towel in there, and there's not much room for anything else. From the perspective of easily handling two basses - even 35" instruments with long headstocks - however, it's a monster.

Hey, Jerry - have you noticed the massive pocket on the rear of the case? I guess it's intended for tucking the straps away if you don't use them, but you could put a bunch of flat stuff in there. I guess whatever goes in there will poke into your back when you strap the case on, so some judicious use of that pocket would be required... but maybe the towel and the cables go back there, and the book goes in the front pocket?

Just a thought...

From pics on their site, it looks like there is a small pocket up in the headstock end, on the front, too, might get the towel(if its real small) or a cable in there, they show a mobile phone and pens in there.

That 'back' pocket is definitely cool, but I don't think it'd be very comfortable to wear the bag with something as thick as a real book in there. I haven't tried it, but certainly will this weekend, just for the sake of science. :D

The top pocket is definitely useful - I've got pen/pencil, business cards, wrenches, tuner, and a short cable in there.

Not knocking the front pocket (bottom one) as a showstopper by any means....just a word of warning to folks who strive for one trip on load-in/out. FWIW, I bought one of these bags...

...a coupla' years ago, and it's definitely one of the better purchases I've made. Holds a few books, small Hercules stands, power strip, extension cord, batteries, tools, strings, cables, yada yada...all without being too heavy or burdensome. It goes with on every gig, even if sometimes it stays in the truck. A convertible hand cart keeps me @ one trip regardless of the venue.

Nah, I wouldn't put the book back there. I'd put soft and/or flexible thin flat suff (cables, towels, etc.) back there. That'd free up the front pocket for the book...

Good point and one I considered - My intention has been that there will be more cabs and for me the variety works out perfectly. In a side by side comparison at about 50% volume I'm already at where I had to run my other amp at about 85% to get the volume I needed but with a much nicer tone and still plenty of room to turn up, or add a cab. My goal was something flexible and modular as opposed to one-size-fits-all.

While we're on the MONO subject inside the Bergatino thread (doncha love this place?!?), MONO has come out with some rather hip "gig" sort of bags (NOT gigbags for instruments, but bags to carry your doo-dads and miscellany).

I don't have those listed on my site, but I can get them for anyone interested. Just PM me if you want one.

^ You know, I looked very closely at all of those prior to placing my order. Couldn't find one that really did it for me, unfortunately. Another brand that I really, really like is Invalid Link Removed. Their utility and deluxe utility bags come kinda-sorta close, but didn't really do it for me either. Honestly though, when I bought the Mesa bag I kept looking, figuring that something so inexpensive couldn't last. Well, I've put that thing through the ringer and it could almost pass for new - no rips, tears, etc., and all the zippers still work perfectly.
