Double Bass Best Amplification Setup - Your Favorite Recordings (and what we know about them)

Here is a recording of G. Mraz with a better recorded bass sound (and mix) - there is a more (natural) attack and a nice "thump" at the beginning of his 1/4 notes. It sounds like pickup + mic in a studio recording.
I would love to hear ONLY the mic, for comparison.

Was excited to see this posted as I got my tuchas handed to me the other night when it was my turn to blow on this tune, same tempo, no drums (guitar/piano/bass trio). Was hoping to hear Mraz take a solo. Still great to hear the rhythm section and Richie’s playing on it.
Definitely had a front edge to it.
