best and worst things about shows with moshing

At one of the first local shows I ever went to there was some kid in a circle pit going around punching anybody within reach, I was standing on the sidelines and he hit me square in the chest, I can't stress it enough how badly I want to just deck one of those guys whenever they pull something like that, especially in a circle pit. For god's sake just push and shove, don't try to knock people out.
Forget about that. The kids who think the pushing and shoving applies to indie shows, dance man. Just dance. I cannot tell you how many times the poor innocent dude in the front gets pushed onto the guitarist, or bassists stuff, steps on his pedals, undoes pedal power, cable, etc. What's the point now? The band can't even play with you kids acting like that.
I think that the best thing about a show with moshing is during the time when the mosh pit is completely observant and helps the fallen instead of trampling them. It amazes me sometimes.
Worst: The one big guy that's plowing over eveyone with the intent of hurting someone.
Best: Runnig full speed from across the floor and knockin' his big a$$ down!

Best: Bowling. Bouncing of the one guy who's bigger than me and knocking over a group of scene kids.
Worst: Spilled beer. God it's hard to find footing in flat bottomed shoes and a slippery floor.
Nother best: Interlocking arms. Lock up arms with a buddy and start spinning, hilarity ensues.
Nother worst: Soggy wet sweaty bodies. Dude, it gets nasty hot in the pit, and when 20-30 sweaty dudes and girls are slamming into each other, the sweat starts flying and making things reek.
Nother best: "Accidentally" groping boobies. When chicks are crowd surfing, and their flipping over and over and you get a handful of boob to try and keep em up? Yeah, that's nice. Had one girl even give me a "heeeeeeey there" in a sexy sultry tone. Smiled and said I couldn't help myself. She smiled back and went back up top of the crowd.
Nother worst: Accidentally groping male boobies. Ewwwwwww...
Nother Best: Helping people up. Circle pits going round and round and it feels like we're gonna burn a whole in the ground. All of a sudden the front guy loses it and falls down. Like five people slow down and help him up, but keep running and the circle keeps moving. When the people start stacking up and everybody's helping people up, it almost becomes a huge pileup. But the magic keeps it moving.
Nother worst: Going the wrong way in a circle pit. Bad idea. Simple Physics.

I love the unspoken rules of the mosh pit. To an outsider it seems a very chaotic thing, but it's really quite ordered. Except for that one guy...
worst: getting hit with a low cheap shot from behind by some metal head who was pissed I wasnt moshing during his crappy bands set.
Best: Watching my friend run over pick me up and shove me back in the pit and turning around to see my friend throw an elbow to the back of his head and some random dude we didnt even know shove him to the ground... I bought the random guy a beer because that was hillarious.

Best: Crowd surfing on a good crowd. Like the type of crowd that actually catches everyone and makes a point of it. When I saw Parkway Drive I did a few stage dives where I jumped off the stage and seamlessly 'surfed' out to where the crowd started to thin and came down on my feet.
Worst: 15 year old scene kids punching everyone because they don't know that you're not actually supposed to hit people.

Moshing is amazing, it's a cool experience but someone always ruins it. Usually either a big fat drunk dude who just barrels through people or a skinny little punk who flails around like a windmill.
Aside from those two demographics, everyone's cool. I remember one time in a circle pit, it was muddy and I slipped and rolled. Not a second later, two dudes grab my arms and bring me back up asking if I was okay. Like big, burly, scary ass metalheads. They can be the most chill people sometimes.

Love-Nothing...its pointless
Hate-How people think they're hardcore, just because they flail their arms around, thats not tought...thats just being a ******** octopus. Also, how people are complete dicks about it, they kick you around and call you a pussy if you say it hurt...just headbang to the beat, much more fun and less dangerous.

BEST: No-one realizes I'm still a teenager because I'm as tall as them! 
WORST: Still can't buy beer without ID (which means I can't buy it at all!!!)

Find enough small pits and you can pull what I did, getting a better spot than you had previously for the actual good band of the night.

Saw Melt Banana last year and there was this crusty guy who was off his face, half passed out or something, just going crazy. MB's bassist Rika had front seat to the whole debacle. At one point we made eye contact and her expression was hilarious. She was all like "what's with this guy?!"
best: actually being able to get into a mosh pit.
worst: there are a couple - that (usually drunk) guy who seems to make a point of pushing everyone with almost malicious intentions, and those ******** "hardtards" that try to interrupt the real pit by fighting invisible ninjas - and then try to start fights with the guys who were just moshing in the first place.
