And in that case, I would have to say you should buy as many basses as humanly possible. Mainly with the hopes and adoration that one day in the future, someone in the audience or your band will say "MAN, I LOVE THAT TONE!"

Which, btw, is a response I've heard from someone talking to someone else with an Alembic. Then a few months later (playing the same venue), I got the same response from my $300 Spector from Korea. That irony is one shady chick, innit?
