Best bass for playing music

oh and im still playing my first bass a Ibanez GSR 200. Why you ask because frankly I dont give a **** what im playing, it goes like this
Does it have strings - yes
Does it make sound - yes
Is the pitch adfustable by any mechanism - yes
Then its playable.

I suggest playing an electric bass. They sound much more like an electric bass than any other instrument does.

Wishbass seem to nail all possible tones out there IMO.

I use 17 of them for Screamo, Country AND Western (WB suprisingly does hillbilly music REAL well), Jazz fusion, reggae and my original trio (me on bass, a spoon player and a singer that does beautiful songs in an African "click" language and plays some accordian).

Fender, Sadowsky, Fodera, etc.? All crap IMO.

a wooden bass with one or more strings.
it's not great for "urban gospel" and lacks in the upper and lower mid growl.
works great for everything else.

Real bassists don't use a polishing cloth- they use old sweatsocks to give their bass that fragrant, well- worn tone. Using pure cotton sweatsocks'll make your bass growl like a liger.
