Best Bass You've Ever Heard?

this is not in the same category as those above me but, I pop into a local big Canadian music retailer a lot and noodle on all different types of basses, American & MIM Fender, Gibson, Ibanez, Yamaha, Squier, Epiphone and others. The one that always makes my ears perk up and say "Heyyyyyyyyyyyy" is the Epiphone Thunderbird IV $350.....I don't know if it is the pickups/tone controls or wood, design etc etc or what, but I GAS for that beast.

To each his own I say. Once I heard Malcom Hall on youtube with those Brubakers I had to have one. Now I have three. At practice Saturday I tweaked my settings on my Puma 500 and my KXB-5 was killin. I'm sold on that Brubaker sound and while others sound just as great, I'm stuck. That's my tone, my Bass. In 2015 I'm going to have another custom bass built for me by Brubaker.

I was at a wedding years ago and heard a guy playing a Dearmond Starfire with rounds through an Ampeg B100R. It really was THE sound that I wanted. I already had the b100r, found the Dearmond and was in heaven. I love many other bass sounds, but that one to me is just musical and luckily I can replicate it whenever I want to.
