Best distortion pedal for keeping low end?

The best by far is the Sinvertek No 5. The only way I've found to get one tho is thru the sinvertek company themselves. They are in China but I ordered one. It was 179 with shipping and it arrive at my door 4 days later. I plugged it in and my bass became a turbo jet engine with no lose to the low end it boosts the mids a bit for a nice cut thru. I can't believe no one could get this much grunt before but I'm extatic someone put the right...? whatevers together. This thang IS the poopie. Check out the demo here

You could say the boss odb-3 is a logical choice. that is if you wanted a fizzy high-gained distortion. if however you want a straight up bass distortion and money is no option, check out the darkglass distortion pedals. the b3k/b7k can give you a transparent but metallic sounding distortion while the vintage microtubes and the vintage deluxe can give you a smooth warm distortion. both these pedals are suitable for rock and metal music. the empress multidrive would be another good choice. though these pedals are a little pricey, they are worth owning to give you a killer distorted bass sound that won't obliterate lows.

No clone of the PD7 that I know of though it does appear to be discontinued - I bought mine around 8 years ago... Despite massively wanting a OFD - nothing has beat the PD7 for me... I Use to run fuzz / turbo rat / other pedals but kept coming back to PD7... I only use it to play finger style or slap metal on the low B when I want to be heard in my very bass driven songs with the attack off. Used to play it in distortion mode but lately favouring overdrive as distortion can get very wild into almost fuzz with the grit of drive turned up and lose definition. Mine is set to a big end kick BUT I'm actually wanting to lose it cos it's too compressed. hence my want of the OFD with all of its inbuilt options. But yeah I can't say that I've found anything like it which is a shame because for its price it's stayed on my board longer than any other pedal!

It's definitely discontinued for sure and its Super hard to find especially in my part of the world. I only discovered the PD7 and so far it is exactly what I'm looking for. The growl and Low end works best for me. Been wondering if there is a clone somewhere. Thanks for the heads up. The search continues.

Ibanez should reissue this pedal. it had a great sound and it works well for rock and metal music. if they reissued the atk basses, they should do the same for the pd-7.

Really...this pedal has no low-end losses what so ever. I do dig this pedal for it's metal sounds. seems like a great metal distortion pedal for bass. kinda like the empress heavy. I did thought of getting one at one point. still curious about it.

Love my Brimstone XD2.

In the same vein there's the VFE Bass Triumvirate, which is the much littler brother of the VFE Rainbows Unicorns Puppies: both are three-band distortions (highs, mids, and lows are processed separately).
