Dude, brace yourself for an onslaught of trolls. The 'best bass for metal' question has been asked so many times and people got so sick of hearing it they troll any thread with that title like mad. it's become a sad cliche around here, so try not to let any of it get to you.
As for an answer, check out the Spector legends. I have one and it's got a great, growly, aggressive tone. Great basses.

Does it really matter about 90% of metal the bass is drowned out in the mix. So I would say just get something pointy that looks cool and make sure it's black.

Pretty much any bass can play metal so it all comes down to personal preference. After reading your posts you've apparently already owned a Spector and liked it, so why not get another?
