best headstock shape contest --- compete for beer!

what is the best headstock shape?

  • anything that has been used already

  • anything that has not been used already

  • the one i'm going to show you...

  • leave 'as is'

  • carrot shaped

i was going to get back at the beginning of the week but i've had little time for TB the past few days, however: in as much as i could have made this thread(and poll) more interesting and fun, i promised to buy some mexican beer for a headstock design/reference which i might like and use on a fretless neck. after much consternation and very deep thought = i have decided that with some variation, i like the one below --- which was suggested by quindecima !

i have 3 actual fender headstocks already (thanks!) and a couple that closely resemble mngnt 's design. and of course, craigie 's design is special! there were a lot of nice looking headstocks to consider, but alas: i have to start/stop somewhere!

so: if quindecima will please pm me, or otherwise get my attention: i'll get an address for the beer payment!

thanks everyone for helping me out on this. i'll post eventually when the bass is done and/or playable.
