I'm not typically a fan of live albums but here are some good ones:

Pretty much everything by Zappa, esp. Roxy & Elsewhere, In New York, Shut Up 'n' Play Yer Guitar, Make a Jazz Noise Here, etc.
Just great, amazing stuff.

Japan - Oil on Canvas. Mick Karn's Wal sound so awesome and punchy throughout
Jansen/Barbieri/Karn - Playing in a Room with People

Genesis - Three Sides Live
Genesis - Seconds Out

Bowie - Stage

The Cure - Concert

Bauhaus - Press the Eject and Give Me the Tape

Peter Gabriel - Plays Live

And just to be a contrarian:
King Crimson - Thrakattack
though only in small doses; I can't listen through that entire thing in one sitting.

"A Physical Presence" by Level 42. Whatever you thought Level 42 was, you were wrong if you haven't heard this. They were absolutely wicked live.

The first track, "Almost There" is all you need to hear, but the whole thing is good.

What are your favorite live albums?

Perhaps oddly, I'm not a fan of live albums as a rule...but under duress, I would cite
- Wes Montgomery - Smokin' At The Half Note, and
- Frank Zappa - You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore, Vol. 2
as two of my favorites, and arguably the pinnacle of the archetype.

Alpha Blondy Live Paris Bercy.....

Looked him up on here today but didn’t find much!

I can’t believe I had never heard Alpha Blondy before this year!

Great music, with his own Solar System Band, as well as The Wailers

I guess he’s too political to get the attention he seemingly should get?
