Best looking jazz bass?

'75 with a '77 neck that I bought off eBay.

A treat to see so many beautiful Jazz basses! This one is a restored 1966-vintage Jazz Bass. I purchased this in 1976 in pretty rough condition (original finish removed and treated with ugly furniture polish, some damage to the body, missing the pick guard, and clearly neglected). About 10 years ago, found a master luthier who specialized in restoring old Fenders. He did an amazing job, with a good paint job (selected a teal green automotive paint that was used at that time), cleaning and re-installing hardware, refinishing the back of the neck and we were able to obtain a period-correct decal from the Fender Company. Other than no pickguard and a brass nut, all of the parts are original. This is a lovely instrument, very playable, with a warm, full tone and the "feel" of an older Fender instrument. I deeply appreciate this instrument, having had the honor and pleasure of owning and playing it for close to 40 years!
