That certainly wasn't my intention - he asked for opinions, and I gave mine... Personally, I don't care for the headstock shape or the pickguard - but to each their own... I wouldn't call it "ugly", but "best looking I've ever seen"??? - not by a VERY long shot... As an example, I'd much prefer JohnK's SFG P Bass in the looks dept.

These may be the best looking ever! At least to me.

I agree, well, at least.. that these look much better (IN MY OPINION) than the 1st one. I think the white pickups look good with that bass.

The BEST looking p?? I don't think I cld ever pick the best, as my taste changes..kinda cycles..but I like orange/red/white..some more than others..at different times.

YMMV...and most likely will.

One on the right is really nice, and probably would even look good with black pickups. Matching headstocks say it all. But, really, I think many Fender basses are just so unattractive. Its either the headstock or the pick guard that seems to have the wrong sizing.

The proportions never seem to look right. The basses often looks like the wrong sized head stock was thrown on as an afterthought, but, not so, with the bass on the right. That one is a beauty!

Hey Lowbrow, I thought that was an awesome looking instrument FWIW.

I don't feel you had a hidden agenda!

I guess whenever there's an opening of any kind, some feel obliged to take a swing- at something or other.


There's an abundance of great looking P-Basses; as a matter of fact, most of them are awesome simply by virtue of being a Precision-style!! !!

So- Nice bass, thanks for posting!
