Wow- a interesting bit of activity since my last check in. Clarification: it would indeed need a Fender headstock.
Question: a lot of testy posts that seem to take offense at an opinion, fewer that are so bold as to offer one of their own. As you were.

I liked it. Especially the gold anodized pickguard. But for me, I'd prefer a maple neck and possibly a black pickguard so it looked like Roger's bass. Not the sig model, but this one:

I'm not a huge fan of Precision basses, but I have noticed that I tend to like relic p-basses. IDK why, just do.
FWIW I actually like all the basses posted so far, but I really like DWBass's. The one with the white headstock looks better, but I prefer the black pickups to the white ones.

what is the story w this? how rare are these?
and what would one pay for a clear P like that?
from experience, lucite basses weigh a TON, even the lucite mockinbird guitars weighed way more than a typical bass,cannot imagine this bad boy's weight.
nevertheless..heh heh. i want it! '..and yes, best looker. but probably not a Pbass to bring to a recording session, plastic and tone don't usually go hand in hand..

got to make one with a lightshow inside it (like that light-up Ric guitar they made years ago..) now THERE'S a challenge for Luthier's corner!
