We have a wirehaired miniature dachshund who is about a year and half old and he looks quite a bit like your pup.

i could not stand to be without some beagles. that howl is like music to my ears.

The two beagles I had were to adventurous for their own good. The first one got hit by a car, the second one was an escape artist, no back yard fence could hold him in. One day he got out and never came back. Both of those dogs broke my heart.

After that I wanted a more lazy chilled out dog, so I bought my basset Wilbur. I still miss those two beagles though

As you can probably tell, I love hounds. When I get a big enough yard in the somewhat near future, I plan on getting either a red bone or black and tan coonhound.
