Best Online Resources and Books

So my high school has cancelled for the rest of the year so ill have lots of time to practice. I have been playing and gigging for a few years so I would call myself an intermediate player. I'd like to take my playing to the next level during this time.

I have a Ray Brown book that I will be going trough. What are other good books and online resources? I'm currently giggless and jobless so free is a plus, but im willing to spend some money.

Depends on what area that you feel that you need to more specific training. SBL has some great paid course materials and so does TalkingBass. TalkingBass also has some great free material. I also noticed that Greg (from Greg's Bass Shed) has just opened up a special for Skype lessons. Something like this would allow you to tailor lessons to your specific needs. You can probably find more if you look around. Let us know if you find anything else.

My advice would be not to chop and change tutorials. Find one that you like and stick with that to completion. Then move on to another.

Sometimes if you're not sure which skills want to improve or from where to start, is better find an instructor that fits your need or simple your tastes and (last but not least, extremely important) have also a teaching program, then you're ready to go.
