Try Matzaluna's on Sanibel Island. Carraba's in Ft. Myers or Cape Coral are chain restaurants but still manage to make a pretty good pie.
Have had a pie at Carrabas...decent for sure. Haven't gone out to Sanibel lately. Grew up here & pizza has never been a big thing here.
I'm lovin one of the pizzas one of my friends at work makes - Alfredo pizza with jalepenios and chili peppers. 2 slices makes me cry, but its so good...
for people who like thin crusts, there is a turkish dish called lahmacun. here's the original thing:

Japanese pizza is really good. Often it involves mayonaise and crab. Sounds crazy, but it's really good.
If you ever get over to the Atlantic side, I highly recommend this local chain.

Sounds great to me. A local brewpub here does smoked salmon, dill, and cream cheese on one of theirs. Fabulous! The New Haven joints used to do squid and/or octopus besides the clam pie mentioned upthread.
I disagree, sir. There's a place by my apartment called Villa Roma that's absolutely spectacular. That's where my vote would go.
Any New Yorkers know a good pizza place in the Bronx? There are so many, but I'm looking for the best
