Best reasonably priced Class D amp

I had personally recommended a Genzler Magellan 350 that will cover his needs and sound great doing it for $499 NEW.

You're griping at me, at least partially, for something I didn't do or say. All I did was correct your misstatement about the pricing of Mesa heads. Also, the OP did not specify he wanted new gear, and you are projecting your opinion about the desirability of new versus used. Many would say that it's often worth it to get something higher-end without taking the hit for new prices.

Not griping at you. Have no malace toward you. Accepted your price corrections. Simply stated that there may be better values for reasonably priced units.
Let's not make this a federal case.

That you did, but as noted, my post was simply correcting the prices, not opining on what is a "better value" or "reasonably priced," both of which are subjective in nature. I acknowledge that your comment about people recommending what they like, not what OP asked for, was not specifically directed at me, although it was actually directed at me in the form a reply to me.

Something isn't a better value, IMO, if it gives off a crappy tone, which has been my experience with "value-priced" class D heads. But I do recognize the limits of my experience. From everything I've read though, I would probably still recommend a used head. More bang, less bank. I'd probably go with a used GK, personally, if I was really trying to optimize value and tone. That's because there are plenty on the market, I haven't heard of significant quality issues, and the GK tone is a good thing to most ppl (I have only briefly played a GK MB500, but I have owned multiple GK lead sleds in the past).

Ok, LOL! Your opinion is noted. Personally, I'm not a fan of the newer GK heads. I've owned both 400RB and 800RB heads years ago and thought they were great but perhaps my tastes have changed as well as the toneprint of newer GK gear. In fairness I haven't auditioned all of their offerings. And many people love em, so there's that.

Ok! No problems on this end. FYI I am also a lefty who plays righty. My son is a lefty who plays lefty. He's better than me (on guitar, not bass YET, but he's getting there quickly).

I hear that. I've tortured myself for years wondering if I would have been better as a lefty player. But, at 65 and going in for cardiac catherazation tomorrow, I figure the die is cast. Talk about perspective!

But what is a transient over longer perior? I kind of thought transients are always very short?

Thank you! I'm a bit apprehensive but if it makes me feel better, I'm all in.
And yes, I've tried going back to Lefty and I feel a certain "fizzle" in my brain. It would take years to undo where I'm at as a righty player (playing over 51 years!)
So, I've resolved to accept where I'm at. I'm finally at peace with it. How about you?
