Good call. I like this one from Lou/VUThe lyrics to "Splendid Isolation" by Warren Zevon are absolutely brilliant, but hey, most of what he did was brilliant.
I'd also have to say Lou Reed was a huge lyricist. Too many to mention. I celebrate his whole catalog!
