Best rock lyric ever?

Dogs - Pink Floyd - Animals

You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need
You gotta sleep on your toes, and when you're on the street
You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed
And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight
You gotta strike when the moment is right without thinking
And after a while, you can work on points for style
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in
You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder
You know it's going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you get older
And in the end you'll pack up and fly down south
Hide your head in the sand,
Just another sad old man
All alone and dying of cancer
And when you loose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone
And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around
So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone
Dragged down by the stone (stone, stone, stone, stone, stone)
I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze?
Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending
That everyone's expendable and no-one has a real friend
And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner
And everything's done under the sun
And you believe at heart, everyone's a killer
Who was born in a house full of pain
Who was trained not to spit in the fan
Who was told what to do by the man
Who was broken by trained personnel
Who was fitted with collar and chain
Who was given a pat on the back
Who was breaking away from the pack
Who was only a stranger at home
Who was ground down in the end
Who was found dead on the phone
Who was dragged down by the stone

Not a poll and I know there is no correct answer. Just wondering what lyric you think is the best ever.

I'm specifically saying lyric as opposed to lyrics. Just one line, not a whole verse or chorus.

I went to see Nine Inch Nails last night and I think Trent Reznor came up with the best rock lyric ever. First line to the chorus of Closer: I want to **** you like an animal.

It's nasty, vulgar, offensive, dangerous, and menacing but it's also sexy, fun, and crazy. It's a song that is rough enough for the boys but still sexy enough for the girls to get into as well. A nice balance. And it was a wonderful experience to be in a room with thousands of women screaming that line at the top of their lungs.
Pantra walk (walk on home boy)

Ive always loved Neil Youngs words. Im drawing blanks on the heavy hitters right now but a couple that did jump into my head...

"Love lost such a cost. Give me things that don't get lost. Like a coin that won't get tossed. Rolling home to you."

"We got a thousand points of light for the homeless man. We got a kinder, gentler, machine gun hand. We got department stores and toilet paper. Got Styrofoam boxes for the ozone layer. Got a man of the people, says keep hope alive. Got fuel to burn, got roads to drive. Keep on rockin' in the free world."

"I saw cotton and I saw black. Tall white mansions and little shacks. Southern man, when will you pay them back? I heard screamin' and bullwhips crackin'. How long? How long? Southern man, better keep your head. Don't forget what your good book said. Southern change gonna come at last. Now your crosses are burning fast, Southern man."

and from rust never sleeps, this one:

"Out of the blue and into the black. You pay for this, but they give you that. And once you're gone, you can't come back. When you're out of the blue and into the black."

and of course this line:

"My my, hey hey. Rock and roll is here to stay. It's better to burn out Than to fade away. My my, hey hey"

The smart money's on Harlow

And the moon is in the street

And the shadow boys

Are breakin' all the laws

Oh and it's east of East St. Louis

And the wind is making speeches

And the rain sounds

Like a round of applause

I never had a clue what that meant. I figured Elton was chemically enhanced when he wrote it.
Bernie Taupin wrote all the lyrics to those hits - Elton wrote the music. I always heard it as a song of generational estrangement...

We are secrets to each other

Each one's life a novel
No-one else has read

Even joined in bonds of love

We're linked to one another
By such slender threads

We are planets to each other

Drifting in our orbits
To a brief eclipse

Each of us a world apart

Alone and yet together
Like two passing ships

Just between us

I think it's time for us to recognize

The differences we sometimes feared to show

Just between us

I think it's time for us to realize

The spaces in between

Leave room

For you and I to grow
