Best small cab for GB Shuttlemax 9.2

Well after a couple of years with a nonfunctional tube channel on my Shuttlemax 9.2, she's back and working better than ever thanks to AgedHorse. What a guy!

I've been pairing the amp with a GB Uber Bass 2x12 from the beginning. It's been a great setup and has covered every gig I've played since 2011. Now I'm playing with a jazz trio, and the 2x12 would be overkill. It's a drums, bass, piano setup so i have no guitarists to compete with. I've been using a Rumble 500 and been pretty happy with the results, but after playing around with the fully functional Shuttlemax, I want to use this thing with the trio!

My question is what would you all recommend as a good compact cabinet to pair with the 9.2? I'm leaning towards a 1x12 of some sort, but I'm certainly open to other suggestions. The 9.2 puts out 500 watts at 8 ohms and 900 at 4, so I understand that many single driver cabinets wouldn't be able to handle that level of power very well.

I have looked at some of the Genzler stuff and they seem like an obvious choice. Does anyone have any thoughts on the BA or New Classic 1x12 or 1x10

paired with the 9.2?

IMHO it's too much amp for a 1x10 cab. The BA 12-3 Slant would be a better choice imo. I have a slant and a straight and always pick the slant if using just 1 cab. The BA 15-3 would be an even better match for the 9.2 but it might be too much cab for your needs.

Better match is a 210 or premium 112. The amp's pretty powerful for a run of the mill cabinet though, especially a 112.

The built in HPF helps, but good judgement and reasonable expectations go a long way towards success.

Red Flag warning - power mismatch - danger!
It is only rated for 150WRms, but for your usage, I doubt you'd be pushing it hard.
With that caveat: Trickfish TF112M.

Genzler or Mesa seem good choices; I use Subway 1x15 Small size and only 37 lbs

Also Barefaced Big Baby 3 handles 800w 30lbs

Late to the party here, but would have recommended a fearless F112. Not very efficient so those 500 8-ohm Shuttlemax watts are a great match. I regularly use an F112 or F115 with a Shuttle 9.2 or Shuttlemax 9.2, and am blown away by how well they work together... And if you're playing jazz at lower levels, no worries - you'll get some great sounds as the fearless accuracy makes the most of your bass, the GB amps, and your intentions.
