Best song about Fire…

Wow lots of fire in Rock&Roll!
The song 'Waru' I posted about last week is an interesting one. In the Luritja language waru means 'fire'.
But the Warumpis' lyric is about how differently fire is seen by aboriginal and western settler eyes in Australia.
Our first nations people have used annual burning as a land management tool for thousands of years, stimulating new plant growth for both wildlife and humans. We (the colonisers) see fire as a danger and try and prevent it at all costs.
The lyric is playful and not judgemental. But at the end of the day it's clear now that Australian settlers should have learned this technique - it is better for the land and we wouldn't be getting fuel build-up and mega-fires now.
