The rock station I grew up with, WMMR in Philadelphia, shocked me one day a few years ago when they played Pink Floyd's song Fearless off of Meddle one afternoon while I was in town. At least one of the DJs has been there since the 70s I think, and he's old school.
It says nothing explicitly about the sun but I'm pretty sure someone took some acid on a sunny day.

Not going to plug a fav, but.... Several years ago wifey and I went to a Peter Frampton concert and he played Black Hole Sun. That song really came alive. I was pretty neutral about it until I heard him play it. BTW, his encore was his version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and it came alive, too.

Great thread. I'll add this one. I was turned on to this album by the old Phil Lesh appreciation thread. Thanks TB. And while I'm here why not mention the great Dead tune.
On this particular day, I am joyful and encouraged that so many people are thinking about this song subject.
