Well, I suppose the song has got nothing to do specifically with summer, but it's the song that reminds me most of a very special summer, and that would be Scott McKenzie's "San Franciso - Be Sure to Wear Some Flowers In Your Hair".

I'm dating myself here, and I would wager hardly anyone here remembers this one, but, this song hits me every time as the best Summer song ever. I can almost smell the Coppertone every time I hear it.

Cool tunes. Of course, the Sinatra has already been posted, more than once I seem to recall, a classic that almost everyone's mind jumps to right away with the word "summer". I know mine did. But a classic in any case. The others are less ubiquitous on the airwaves, nice to be reminded of those artists, talented folks!
