does anyone have some sound samples of the dod flangers? og the tc?
I will make some of the TC when I get home from work today and link you to my soundcloud that I put it on.
I'd heard Squire used a Morley Tremolo pedal for "Heart Of The Sunrise", but I'm not sure where I heard that. But the effect definitely sounds more like tremolo than Leslie-induced doppler to my ears.
"Heartbreaker" definitely was a Leslie. Not sure about "Startship Trooper"
Line 6 liquaflange. Inexpensive. Many great tones and lots of options outstanding bang for the buck.

These were made quickly because I had to run out again but they show the basic flanger the TC can do. I did one with the VMT as well. Straight phone recording too but you get the jist.

I've heard the ad/a flanger (Juan alderete) and i really like it!!!
But i Think it's a little expensive :/

Ibanez Airplane Flanger. Works great with bass and is dirt cheap.
How is This one any different from the bf2?
The Boss HF-2 Hi-Band flanger adds an octave-up to your signal and flangs this octave up (and it doesn't eat lows!!)
It is a very subtle effect, but is sounds very nice as it makes your sound 'wider/denser'. I used one for years.
Sounds like you need a vortex!! Hehe. I'm sure there are a large handful out there that can get you your swoosh to mild to everything in between I just recommend the TC because its a great pedal, has a lot of tonal options and the toneprint is great. You can also switch it from true bypass to buffered via small toggle in the bottom of the pedal after you remove the bottom plate.
Flanger is one of my favorite things. The Line6 LiquaFlange can do a lot of things that are flanger and also has is a tonecore pedal, so you can take the module out, which is cool. I use a BF-2 for normal flanger stuff. The Mr. Black Tunnelworm is pretty much my favorite though. I need to get another one.
I think you're right, I have been wanting to get the vortex for some time now. But I just don't have the cash at the moment
