Those were special order 8's from Eminence I believe. A 2x8 would be cool too. I actually loved the 46 too. I just have too much stuff.
MAS112 shipped out, and Bodai 110 inbound. Stoked. I plan to eventually run a pair. My dilemma now is amplification. I am considering either the Mesa D800+ or one of radbass's power units with different flavors of preamps.

I have a RAD amp (the ICD 1000 module) and it slams with the MAS.
FWIW, I'm running a Subway DI\Preamp with an ICEpower 300 module and it sounds great through an earlier generation MAS46. Granted, the D800+ has parametric mid controls, but the Subway pre is still easy to get a good sound with. My amplification needs are much more modest than most and limited financially, so I haven't tried any of the high end preamps, but it's the first preamp I've been satisfied with and I've got less than $500 into the pre and power amp combo. With an ICE 1000 it would be awesome.

I think Mntngrown is right. That, or like moi, ain't got no dinero, amigo. I have a plan though - and I'm hoping by next year this time I'll be able to secure my first MAS cabinet.
Specifically, I'd like to attempt to pry the MAS 115 out from @JBNeedsBeer so that he can get one of the new Bodai cabs (hint hint, wink wink!) To power it, I'd like a GK Fusion 550. The way iron sled GK's deliver transients is brutal and should pair well with it.
That said, anyone else use a non-class-D GK with one of these?

Been a while since I posted anything but here is my 4x6 and 2x6...
2x6 can run 4ohms as a full practice small gig or flip the switch and the whole rig runs 4ohms. Compliments at every gig

Then set break comes ........"hey man those guys just fill this room with some of the best Bass sound we've had in quite some time.

The Bodai 110 has landed. I haven't had alot of time with it yet, so I don't have anything in depth to share yet. Initial impressions -
Mike has the packaging down. Minimal packaging with maximum protection. The cab arrived in perfect condition, and the fit and finish was great. No rattles or buzzes.
It's light. Noticeably lighter than the MAS 112, and much easier to move. It is nearly the same height as the MAS 112 and only a few inches narrower.
It is much more present in the mids and highs than the MAS 112. The compression driver definitely adds a bit of tweeter like snap that I didn't feel I was missing before, but love it now that it is there. Chords.....heavenly. It is quicker and more responsive than any of my previous MAS cabs sans maybe the 8x5, this thing is tight.
Now, this is where things get tricky. The MAS 112 (eminence) was my favorite bass cab of all time. It sounded huge, had warmth, depth, punch, articulation.....just fabulous. The Bodai 110 has a much more neutral and transparent sound. Instantly I realized that the signal chain for the 112 would not sound the same with the new 110. The EBS Reidmar 750 became a bit more hi-fi than I care for (though I am sure some would love it). I dialed in a bit of bass and low mids to fatten it up. The 112 is Super efficient and 4 ohms, so the Reidmar could push it as hard as it wanted to go. The new 110 is an 8 ohm cab with much lower efficiency, and it feels like the Reidmar may be a bit lacking in low end grunt at 8 ohms with this particular cab. So, I have an RAD Engineering Icepower 1000 amp incoming and plan to try some different preamps and eq points. Mike is busy gearing up for a show in Germany, but when he returns I plan on trying either a second 110 or the new 112. I am looking forward to getting to know this little beast alot better!
